Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is seeking a talented, organized, and highly adaptable Marketing Assistant to join our Marketing team at our corporate headquarters in Pittsburgh, Pa.

As a Marketing Assistant, you will play a key supporting role across many aspects of CEC's marketing and business development efforts. You'll assist with conferences, branded swag, special events, content development, social media, internal and external communications, and CRM maintenance for one of the nation's leading engineering and environmental consulting firms.

This position offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to a broad range of marketing disciplines while working directly with marketing professionals, technical experts, practice and market leaders, and company executives. Under the guidance of marketing leadership, the Marketing Assistant will:

Assist with conference / trade show registrations, exhibit logistics, promotional materials, sponsorship deliverables, and event follow-up activities;
• Assist in overseeing the company swag store and ordering branded swag materials;
• Help coordinate and support client special events and company-sponsored activities;
• Assist with the development of content for social media and internal communications;
• Support the development and distribution of email communications and other outreach initiatives;
• Collaborate with marketing team members and internal stakeholders to gather information and complete a variety of marketing projects;
• Maintain and organize marketing files, project information, digital assets, and databases;
• Utilize AI-enabled tools and modern marketing technologies to improve content development and workflow efficiency;
• Provide general project coordination and administrative support for marketing, communications, and business development initiatives while using a team project management system;
• Support special projects and emerging marketing initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Advertising, or a related field;
• 0-3 years of marketing, communications, or related experience;
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills;
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments while maintaining excellent attention to detail;
• Strong organizational and time-management skills;
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities;
• A proactive mindset and willingness to support a wide variety of projects and initiatives;
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment;
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite/Microsoft 365 with an emphasis on PowerPoint and Word
• Preferred familiarity with social media platforms and WordPress;
• Preferred experience with Microsoft Copilot and other AI-enabled productivity tools;
• Preferred experience with Adobe Creative Cloud applications, particularly InDesign and Acrobat, or other graphic design applications such as Canva;
• Willingness to travel domestically; may include some evenings and weekends. Any approved overtime will be compensated.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
• On-site duties may require bending, walking, or standing for extended periods of time.
