Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Dallas, Texas. This high-risk, high-volume obstetrical unit requires experienced registered nurses to provide care in a busy womens hospital setting. The position involves managing both routine and complex labor and delivery cases, including cervical ripening, triage, postpartum recovery, and cesarean sections. Job Details Certification: Must have high risk obstetrical bedside training, circulating in cesarean sections in the labor and delivery area, and recovering high acuity patients. Education/Experience Requirements: Valid RN license, at least 2 years of high-risk labor and delivery care experience. Schedule: 3 twelve-hour night shifts per week, 7:00 PM 7:00 AM, with a total of 36 hours minimum per week. Responsibilities include performing vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, dilation and curettage, postpartum recovery care, and using GE fetal monitors within a Meditech and CPNS documentation system. Unit specifics involve managing high-risk obstetrical patients with nurse-patient ratios of 2:1 and 3:1, and duties include circulating in cesarean sections, high acuity patient care, and providing appropriate documentation. Candidate must follow dress code requirements, maintain a professional appearance, and adhere to policy guidelines regarding tattoos and piercings. Floating policy: Ability to float to antepartum unit within womens services as needed.
