Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma histories and establish appropriate therapeutic approaches.

• Develop and implement comprehensive, individualized treatment plans targeting trauma recovery, resilience-building, and emotional regulation.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to deliver effective care.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, assisting patients in processing their trauma and developing healthy coping strategies.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to ensure seamless care coordination for all patients.
\n
• Provide critical crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, helping patients navigate acute distress safely.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and community resources available for additional support.
\n
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical regulations.
\n
• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development focused on trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay current with developments in the field of trauma therapy to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role centers on providing therapeutic care to individuals impacted by various forms of trauma. Our patient population includes those experiencing PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders, ranging from adolescents to adults. As a therapist, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting these individuals as they navigate their recovery journeys, fostering an environment where they feel heard, understood, and empowered to heal.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enhanced by a compassionate approach to therapy.

• Ability to manage high-stress situations effectively and maintain composure during critical moments.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.

Preferred Experience\n

We prefer candidates with at least two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, particularly within trauma-informed practices. Familiarity with trauma-focused therapies and interventions will enhance your ability to contribute effectively to our patient care strategies.

Compensation and Benefits\n
