Work Environment\n

This position operates in a remote work setting, allowing you to connect with clients from the comfort of your home while still ensuring high-quality, face-to-face interactions through teletherapy and in-person sessions as needed. The work week typically runs from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility based on patient needs. As part of a supportive team, you will collaborate with fellow clinicians, psychiatrists, and other health professionals to provide integrated care, ensuring every patient feels heard and valued.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to assess patients' backgrounds, trauma history, and the psychological impact of their experiences.

• Develop and execute personalized treatment plans that address individual trauma recovery goals, incorporating evidence-based practices tailored to unique needs.

• Utilize therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate healing and resilience.

• Lead individual and group therapy sessions, providing therapeutic support and coping strategies to enhance patients' emotional well-being and recovery.

• Engage with other health care professionals to coordinate interdisciplinary care, ensuring a comprehensive approach to the mental health needs of each patient.

• Provide timely crisis intervention for patients experiencing acute trauma-related distress.
\n
• Inform patients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and resources available to support ongoing recovery.

• Maintain thorough documentation to uphold ethical and legal standards, ensuring confidentiality and compliance in all patient interactions.

• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and continuous training to further develop skills in trauma-informed care.

• Stay current with advancements in trauma therapy through ongoing professional development and research engagement.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work primarily with individuals affected by trauma, including survivors of violence, abuse, and other life-altering experiences. Your role is critical in delivering care that acknowledges and validates patients’ experiences while guiding them through recovery practices that enhance their emotional and psychological resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas is mandatory.

• While 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, passion and dedication to the mental health field are equally valued.

• Strong knowledge and understanding of trauma-related disorders and the treatment modalities best suited for these conditions.

• Demonstrated experience in providing trauma-focused therapy and interventions.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with an emphasis on empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental approach to client care.

• Ability to maintain poise and professionalism in high-pressure scenarios while fostering a supportive atmosphere for clients.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications is essential for documentation and communication.

Compensation and Benefits\n
