Registered Nurse Medical Surgical

Job Summary:
Seeking a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse with at least 1 year of experience to provide quality patient care to adults and geriatrics. The role involves managing a patient load with a 1:5-6 nurse-to-patient ratio in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care for adult to geriatric populations, including assessment, planning, and implementation of nursing interventions.
• Utilize Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR communication tools efficiently in daily nursing activities.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain compliance with all hospital policies, including BLS requirements.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.
• Assist in managing a census of approximately 48 patients across 49 rooms, within unit systems.
• Perform patient documentation, medication administration, and monitor vital signs throughout shifts.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license in GA or a compact state at the time of application.
• Demonstrate minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a Medical Surgical setting.
• Possess current BLS certification and familiarity with Epic and Pyxis systems.
• Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays, with flexibility in floating within facility scope.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills and clinical competency in adult-geriatric patient care.
