Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial assessments of patients, including detailed intake interviews and psychological evaluations to determine individual needs and develop tailored treatment plans.

• Engage in regular therapeutic sessions with patients, providing both individual and group counseling aimed at addressing and managing mental health disorders stemming from trauma.

• Utilize evidence-based techniques to craft personalized goals and actionable coping strategies, equipping patients with essential tools for emotional regulation.

• Monitor patient progress consistently, adjusting treatment plans responsively based on feedback and observed outcomes.

• Facilitate educational workshops or presentations for both staff and patients on stress management and coping strategies to foster a broader understanding of trauma impact.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including social workers, medical professionals, and community service providers, to create a comprehensive care network that addresses the multifaceted needs of patients.

• Engage in continuous professional development and education, maintaining the National Certified Counselor certification and staying informed about best practices in mental health.

• Actively participate in community outreach initiatives aimed at raising awareness about trauma and mental health resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related mental health discipline from an accredited institution.

• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) designation in the state of New York.

• A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience working specifically with trauma patients in therapeutic settings.

• Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and competency in using EMR systems.

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to foster rapport with patients and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits\n
