Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of clients to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and solution-focused therapy, in both individual and group settings.
• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Engage actively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care coordination and optimal health outcomes for clients.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in mental health by participating in workshops, training, and professional development opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on serving individuals and families who often encounter barriers to accessing traditional mental health care. This includes clients experiencing a range of mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance misuse. Your role is crucial in bridging the gap in care, providing critical support to those who may feel isolated or overwhelmed.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• Active and unrestricted license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in Virginia.
• A minimum of two years of clinical counseling experience.
• Strong understanding of legal and ethical standards governing counseling practice.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with diverse populations.
• Proven ability to collaborate within a healthcare team to facilitate comprehensive client care.
