Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals, couples, families, and groups, including methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards, ensuring client confidentiality and professionalism.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care and address the diverse needs of clients.
• Engage in ongoing professional development by participating in workshops and training sessions to stay abreast of best practices in mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work closely with a diverse client population, including individuals and families facing a wide array of mental health challenges. Our focus includes, but is not limited to, anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, substance use issues, and family dynamics. By offering accessible support, you will help clients from various backgrounds navigate their emotional struggles and work towards achieving lasting change.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field is required.
• An active and unrestricted license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Virginia is essential.
• At least two years of experience in a counseling setting, demonstrating proficiency in client care and therapeutic interventions.
• A strong foundation in legal and ethical standards related to mental health practice.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients from various backgrounds.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software and related technologies is necessary for effective documentation and reporting.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable: family therapy, couples therapy, trauma, or substance misuse.
• Experience in utilizing various therapeutic modalities, with proven results in client outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary range of $70,000 – $90,000, commensurate with experience and caseload availability.
