Work Environment

This position offers the flexibility of remote work, focusing primarily on telehealth services. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments and thorough evaluations to create personalized treatment plans that align with each client’s specific needs and goals.

• Provide individual, couples, family, and group therapeutic interventions using modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers to develop a holistic approach to client care, ensuring comprehensive mental health support.

• Maintain meticulous and accurate clinical records in compliance with ethical guidelines and legal obligations, facilitating continuity and quality of care.

• Engage in ongoing professional development by attending workshops and staying updated on the latest research and advancements in mental health practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse and varied client population, including individuals dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. This role requires understanding the complexities of different backgrounds and experiences, offering supportive and effective counseling tailored to each client’s unique circumstances.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Virginia.

• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in providing therapeutic counseling services, ideally within a clinical setting.

• Robust knowledge of ethical standards and legal regulations governing the counseling profession.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on building trust and rapport with clients.

• Adept at working collaboratively within a team and engaging with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care.

• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and related software to streamline documentation and client management processes.

Preferred Experience

• Specializations in areas like trauma, substance abuse, family dynamics, or couples counseling will be viewed favorably.

• Experience with telehealth platforms and remote client engagement strategies is a plus.

• Annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and client caseload.
