Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments to determine clients' mental health status and develop tailored treatment plans addressing their unique needs.
• Utilize therapeutic techniques and evidence-based practices to facilitate client healing, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other modalities as appropriate.
• Maintain regular client sessions, providing ongoing support, encouragement, and essential coping strategies to help clients overcome challenges.
• Monitor clients’ progress and adjust treatment plans collaboratively based on their feedback and evolving needs.
• Coordinate care with other healthcare providers, such as psychiatrists or primary care physicians, to ensure comprehensive treatment for clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population that includes individuals dealing with a myriad of mental health issues, such as anxiety disorders, depression, substance use disorders, and eating disorders. You will engage with clients across all demographics, providing culturally competent care that meets their varying needs and backgrounds.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field is required.
• Must possess a valid state counseling license (LPC) to practice in Texas.
• Demonstrated clinical experience with diverse patient populations and conditions.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills to effectively build rapport with clients and facilitate discussions.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with teletherapy and remote counseling best practices.
• Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for efficient documentation and client management.
• Background in working with specific patient populations such as adolescents or individuals managing chronic conditions.

Compensation and Benefits
