Work Environment

This position is predominantly remote, providing you the flexibility needed to maintain a healthy work-life balance. While the majority of your work will be conducted from home, you will collaborate closely with our team, which operates out of our outpatient office in Newark. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct personalized assessments and evaluations to develop tailored therapy strategies for clients.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals, families, and groups, ensuring clients receive the utmost care.
• Utilize various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic approaches, and solution-focused techniques.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to deliver holistic client care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records, adhering to legal and ethical standards in documentation.
• Engage in professional development through workshops and training to remain informed on the latest developments in mental health practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an LPC at Thrive, you will work with a diverse range of clients, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing various mental health challenges. Our focus is on providing care for individuals with limited access to mental health resources, ensuring that everyone receives compassionate and effective support. You will have the opportunity to address critical issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, family dynamics, and substance misuse.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• Current, active, and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in New Jersey.
• A minimum of two years of counseling experience, preferably in a clinical setting.
• Strong understanding of legal and ethical standards in mental health practice.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and related technologies is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization in areas such as family therapy, couple's therapy, substance use disorders, or trauma-informed care is highly desirable.
• Previous experience in a community mental health setting is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

• The salary range for this position is USD 70,000 to 90,000 per year, based on experience and caseload availability.
