Distinguished Scientist, Discovery-Oncology

Johnson & Johnson seeks a Distinguished Scientist to lead oncology discovery efforts focused on T-cell engager development for prostate cancer. The role involves directing a cross-functional team in designing and optimizing therapeutic candidates while fostering scientific innovation and external partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Lead team in nominating T-cell engagers and costimulatory molecules for prostate cancer treatment
- Develop state-of-the-art assays to identify optimal TCE candidates and assess therapeutic potential
- Foster scientific excellence culture and advance next-generation TCE platform innovation
- Partner across therapeutic areas on molecular configuration, binder selection, and delivery strategies
- Mentor team members and promote personal and professional development
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Cancer Biology or Immunology with 12+ years industry experience
- Demonstrated program leadership managing scientific teams in industry
- Expertise in large molecule design and lead selection through IND-enabling
- Knowledge of T-cell biology, solid tumor microenvironment, and combination strategies
- Track record recruiting, developing, and retaining high-performing talent
- Experience with academic and industry research collaborations
- Strong matrixed leadership with cross-functional influence capabilities
