About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, NIH Must-Have: Charge Experience Description: 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse required. Every other weekend availability is required. Basic Life Support (BLS) and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications are required. Float to all care areas to care for medical-surgical patients. This is a comprehensive overflow unit staffed by an in-house hospitalist team. The unit takes patients from all disciplines, making each day exciting. Nurses will gain experience in various specialties and care for diverse patients. Interdisciplinary support is available from physical therapy, respiratory services, and other professionals. Special patient diagnoses may include chronic kidney disease, diabetes, trauma-related injuries, stroke, and more. Nurses will be responsible for administering medications, managing catheters, monitoring telemetry, and providing wound care. Successful candidates will need to comply with safety and health guidelines. Candidates living within 70 miles are not eligible. Candidates must complete an OSHA Respirator Clearance prior to starting. Failure to comply with fit testing requirements may result in cancellation of employment.
