Job Summary: Serve as a healthcare provider collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to deliver primary and women's health care. Support and communicate effectively with physicians and staff while providing technical and scientific oversight of the onsite laboratory.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Fiscal Responsibility: Maintain accurate and legible medical records, demonstrate proficiency with clinic computer systems including billing, manage time and supplies efficiently, and support cost-effective care initiatives. Provide technical consultation for laboratory supervision and assist patients in coordinating continuity of care through community resources. Ensure timely billing for services rendered.
• Quality: Establish and confirm medical diagnoses, order and interpret laboratory and imaging tests, prescribe medications, and manage follow-up care. Adhere to established protocols in collaboration with sponsoring physicians to ensure positive patient outcomes. Lead quality improvement efforts by preparing and analyzing relevant data and educating colleagues. Oversee laboratory quality control programs, resolve technical issues, and maintain analytic performance standards.
• Patient Satisfaction: Prioritize and adjust patient care plans based on assessments and diagnostic findings. Provide direct education, counseling, and support to patients and families. Facilitate referrals to specialists or community resources as needed. Represent the healthcare organization positively at community events.
• Patient Safety: Organize and delegate patient safety efforts tailored to developmental stages. Ensure care is accurate, current, and appropriate for all age groups served. Conduct comprehensive health assessments and collaborate with healthcare professionals to evaluate and manage patient risk.
• Professional Growth: Engage in peer review, competency evaluations, and ongoing education to maintain and enhance clinical skills. Provide constructive feedback and participate in performance improvement initiatives.
• Customer Service: Uphold high standards of customer service, demonstrate compassion and respect, and maintain effective communication with patients, families, staff, and external contacts. Be accessible for laboratory consultation as assigned.

Education and Experience Required:

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required for new hires.
• Proficiency with computer systems is necessary.

Licensure and Certifications:

• Current active Registered Nurse licensure by the state nursing board.
• Certified Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) required for new hires.

This position is based in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
