Why This Opportunity Stands Out Join a well-established healthcare organization making a meaningful impact in the community Be part of a supportive, patient-focused team environment Gain valuable experience with patient access, insurance verification, scheduling, and healthcare operations Take on a highly visible role where your contributions make a difference every day Work in a fast-paced setting that offers variety, responsibility, and growth Key Responsibilities Welcome patients and visitors while providing outstanding customer service Manage patient check-in and check-out processes Complete patient registration, demographic updates, and required documentation Verify insurance eligibility for Medicare, Medi-Cal, HMO, and commercial plans Confirm primary and secondary insurance coverage and maintain accurate payer information Collect co-pays, self-pay amounts, co-insurance, and other patient payments Schedule appointments and maintain provider calendars Answer incoming calls and assist patients with questions and concerns Follow up with patients regarding missed appointments Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the EMR system Qualifications Minimum 1 year of medical front office experience Minimum 1 year of insurance eligibility and verification experience Experience with patient registration and appointment scheduling Experience utilizing EMR/EHR systems Strong communication and customer service skills Knowledge of Medicare, Medi-Cal, HMO, and commercial insurance plans Who We're Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys helping others, thrives in a busy healthcare environment, and takes pride in providing an exceptional patient experience. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Los Angeles, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
