CNC Machinist

Job Posting DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Program set up and operate Hurco CNC vertical machines using conversational programming and GIBBS CAM software. Work effectively in a fast-paced, short-run style production environment with frequent part changes. Program new jobs while current parts are running to maximize machine utilization and throughput. Produce precision parts to customer specifications and within acceptable production timeframes. Follow and execute all written and verbal instructions from documentation, including Shop Travelers, Inspection Sheets, drawings, and work instructions. Perform and document in-process inspections to ensure product quality. Communicate promptly with Quality Control or Supervisor, regarding any part issues, non-conformances, or concerns. Maintain accurate daily records of job activities including quantities, run times, and scrap data in both Shop Travelers and the ERP system. Perform required preventative maintenance on assigned equipment; monitor machines for abnormal conditions and report issues to maintenance or leadership. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with JBT Machining Safety Policies. Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adhere to all company safety protocols. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Hurco conversational programming experience preferred but not required. GibbsCAM experience preferred but not required. 3axis and 4axis vertical mill experience preferred. Experience working in a fast-paced environment. Problem-solving and attention to detail. The ability to multitask on a wide variety of projects.
