- Deskside Support Technician (Tier II)Apply**Job#: 3039408****Job Description:**Deskside Support Technician (Tier II)**Location:** Washington, D.C. (On-site)Role OverviewWe are looking for a Deskside Support Technician to support a large-scale IT services program in Washington, DC. This program provides a range of IT services, including help desk, deskside support, Windows workstation engineering and maintenance, managed print services, and video conferencing. The role requires providing timely and professional technical support to a diverse user base.Key Responsibilities* Provide deskside support for users based on tickets dispatched from the Service Desk or as identified by the on-site user base.* Perform break/fix support for government-provided end-user computer devices, including replacing components like hard drives or batteries.* Install specialty software that is not already packaged in SCCM.* Remove devices from the network as directed by security protocols.* Assess, diagnose, and resolve issues with printers.* Install printer toner and perform other printer maintenance tasks.* Manage and update all assigned tasks within the ITSM ticketing system to track performance against service level agreements.* Deliver "white glove" service for senior management, which may occasionally require after-hours support.Required Qualifications* High school diploma or equivalent.* 5+ years of prior relevant experience in a technical support role.* Experience providing Tier II IT support in a Windows 10 office environment.* Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, Microsoft Exchange, and Outlook.* Experience using an ITSM ticketing system to manage support tasks.* Experience resolving common Windows issues, such as the Blue Screen of Death, without relying solely on device replacement.* A customer-service-focused attitude is necessary.* Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.* Ability to prioritize work based on ticket and customer priority.* Ability to work across multiple buildings without direct supervision.Preferred Qualifications* Past experience with Department of Justice components is desired.**PLEASE NOTE**: Candidates must be able to obtain and/or maintain a Public Trust clearance as a condition and continuation of employment. *Everforth Apex is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
