Corporate Strategy Manager

Position Overview Corporate Strategy Manager drives strategic impact by leading the development and implementation of high-profile initiatives in support of Valley’s strategic objectives. This position collaborates closely with internal business leaders and cross‑functional partners to develop and drive business-unit level strategic plans, review and report on monthly progress metrics, and produce quarterly analytics on the key strategic initiatives that drive Valley’s success. Expected Work Hours 40 hours per week Responsibilities Lead development of high-impact, high-visibility strategic projects from planning through execution, aligning with enterprise strategic objectives and measurable outcomes. Structure and drive the programmatic implementation of the annual and multi-year strategic planning programs, ensuring alignment and engagement with stakeholders across the bank. Support quarterly strategic initiative progress reporting and production of quarterly dashboards including data collection and qualitative commentary. Partner with business line leaders on developing, articulating, and monitoring business/strategic plans, including competitive/market assessment and cataloging capability and enablement needs. Track and collect month-to-month metrics related to strategic and business plans in partnership with Data & Analytics, Finance, and other stakeholders. Prepare clear, concise, and impactful formal communications, including management presentations, briefing memos, and talking points for executive-level audiences. Build strong collaborative relationships with stakeholders and partners across the company to deliver on strategic initiatives. Requirements Strong quantitative and data analysis skills. Ability to extract meaning from ambiguous or unstructured data. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to distill key takeaways into clear executive-appropriate documents. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Effective influencing skills; able to build rapport and credibility with senior-level business partners across various organization levels. Fluency in the financial language of the banking industry and understanding of the needs, priorities, and cross-currents impacting regional, middle market, business banking, and small business/consumer banking sectors. Strategic growth mindset and results orientation. Required Experience Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or related field. Minimum of seven years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, project management, or strategy/finance roles within the financial services industry. Preferred Experience Master of Business Administration. Experience working with banks. Full-time/Part-time Full-time FLSA Exempt Location 350 Madison Ave, New York, NY 10017, United States Benefits Base salary is determined by role, relevant experience, skill set, and geographic location. Eligible positions may also receive commission-based or discretionary incentive compensation.
