Block scheduling available to accommodate preferences. 3:1 patient ratio. Highlights: Work at Wisconsin's 1 ranked hospital, a Magnet-designated Level 1 Trauma Center Float to multiple critical care units including Neuro ICU, Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic ICU, Burn ICU, Trauma Surgery ICU, Medical ICU, and IMC/Progressive Care Epic charting system with 28 hours of orientation provided Academic teaching environment with opportunities for professional growth and shared governance participation Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more High-acuity patient population with exposure to advanced critical care technology and procedures Requirements: Active Wisconsin RN license or compact state RN license BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association only) Minimum 5 years of RN experience with at least 2 years of acute care experience in critical care within the last 3 years Level 1 Trauma Center experience required Previous travel nursing experience required Epic charting system experience required Must pass pre-employment telemetry examination with strict passing criteria (80% or higher, 100% identification of lethal rhythms) Competency in multiple ICU specialties including experience with arterial line management, ventilator management, vasoactive drip titration, CRRT/CVVHD, central line care, and arrhythmia interpretation Preferred: NIHSS, TNCC certifications, and previous charge nurse experience Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions available) Must reside 50 miles or more from the facility Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the unique opportunity to work at a nationally recognized academic medical center and teaching institution, providing care to a diverse, high-acuity patient population.
