Details Critical Care Float position covering multiple ICU units including Neuro ICU, Cardiothoracic, Burn ICU, Trauma Surgery, and IMC/Progressive/General care populations 13-week assignment on night shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 1900-0730 Every other weekend required with some holiday coverage Floating required as needed across ICU units Epic EMR used, experience required within past 12 months preferred Requirements Active WI RN license or compact RN license required BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only) NIHSS and TNCC certifications preferred Minimum 2 years acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty 5 years of experience preferred Academic Level I Trauma Center experience required Prior travel experience required Charge experience preferred Must pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to starting, including adult and pediatric rhythm identification Skills required in IV therapy, arterial/central/PICC line management, blood product administration, ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and respiratory care Experience with cardiac drips, vasoactive drips, and dysrhythmia management required Experience managing multisystem organ dysfunction and IV insulin protocols required Additional Information Position located at an academic Magnet-designated Level I Trauma teaching hospital Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted Care for critically ill patients across multiple ICU specialties including cardiovascular, neuro, burn, and trauma populations Responsibilities may include care of patients on ECMO, IABP, Impella, EVD, ICP monitoring, and CRRT Parking permit required if parking onsite, though alternative transportation options are available References not required for consideration American Traveler Job ID P-745079.
