$50K Base + Uncapped Commission ($100K+ Year One)

About the Role

This is a hunter's role — and the payoff matches the effort. You won't be sitting behind a desk waiting for foot traffic. You'll be out building your territory: running appointments from our Mobile Flooring Showroom, developing relationships with trade partners and remodelers, and generating your own pipeline through networking in the community.

Floor Coverings International of Columbus is hiring an Outside Sales Representative to run in-home appointments using our Mobile Flooring Showroom — we roll the entire showroom right up to the customer's driveway. You show up, build the relationship, walk them through their options, and close the deal on the spot.

You'll get company-generated leads to work, but the top earners here don't stop there — they build a network. Trade partners, remodelers, past customers, local business connections — reps who invest in those relationships build a referral pipeline that compounds their income year over year. If you're a natural closer who also knows how to work a room, build relationships, and go get business rather than wait for it, this role rewards that hustle directly — with uncapped commission and no ceiling on what you can build.

What You'll Do

• Run in-home sales consultations with pre-set, warm leads
• Present flooring options and pricing, and close the sale on the spot
• Recommend solutions that fit the customer's style, needs, and budget
• Manage your pipeline: proposals, follow-ups, and next steps
• Hand off closed projects to our install team for a seamless customer experience
• Build referral relationships with past customers, trade partners, remodelers, and local networking groups
• Prospect and develop new opportunities

• 45%+ close rate on scheduled appointments

• A growing referral and repeat-business pipeline
• $100K+ total earnings in year one

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of outside sales, direct sales, or in-home sales experience (flooring, home improvement, or construction industry a plus)
• A track record of closing — comfortable asking for the sale and handling objections
• Strong communicator who builds trust fast with strangers
• Comfortable with basic math and estimating
• Self-motivated and organized enough to manage your own schedule and pipeline
• Valid driver's license
