Part Time - Delirium in Older Adults - Research Assistant

Job Summary: The Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing is looking for a Part‑time Research Assistant (RA) for a National Institutes of Health (NIH) Study on Delirium in Hospitalized Older Adults. The study is implementation‑based and involves a twice‑daily nurse‑led 2‑step delirium identification screening across three communities in PA and MA. RAs may be required to travel to Hershey or be located in Hershey. Responsibilities Assist with in‑person recruiting, consenting, and screening research participants, clinical research procedures, and medical record reviews. Conduct inter‑rater reliability checks. Assist with data entry, data management, and maintaining data protection & quality. May assist with literature search and other research work assigned. Attend and contribute to scheduled team meetings. Assist with marketing and communication where needed. Other duties as needed to carry out study procedures. Qualifications Must have completed the COVID‑19 vaccination and other pre‑employment requirements by at least two weeks prior to employment. Must be a team player capable of working with faculty and other research team members, as well as independently to meet project deadlines. Strong professional and interpersonal communication skills required, both written and verbal. Preference may be given to individuals specializing in healthcare or related fields who have experience working with older adults with cognitive impairment or delirium.
