Group Copy Supervisor

The Planet Group is seeking a Group Copy Supervisor to join one of our well-known global pharmaceutical clients. Pay: $53-58/hr depending on experience Location: Remote or hybrid onsite in Irvine, CA (T-TR onsite)Group Copy Supervisor Responsibilities:Lead copy development on multiple brands and work closely with Editorial, Art, and Account partners, along with Creative Management to ensure that clients are satisfied with the quality of creative work, the value of services, and responsiveness to their needsWork with Art partner to produce and lead Brave, Authentic, Inspiring ideas and multi-channel tacticsAct as the lead writer on print, video, and digital projects with minimal supervisionAll copy must be clear, powerful, and free of errors, as well as correctly referenced and annotatedManage and work independently, often under tight deadlines, while juggling multiple projectsProvide constructive feedback to improve others' workActively participate in client meetingsParticipate in MLR reviews as neededAttend market research as appropriateContribute to strategy discussions; leads development of brand messages and positioningUnderstand that advertising is a service industry that sometimes requires extra time and effort to meet client commitmentsAssign writers best suited for each project based on ability and workloadManage your own workload and those of direct reports to maximize productivity and maintain billable hoursWork closely with Art, Editorial, Traffic and Project Management to ensure jobs stay on track with deadlines and budgetsProactively seek feedback from supervisor and Creative leadersProvide written and face-to-face feedback for annual performance reviews, as well as ongoing feedback throughout the yearIdentify and interview prospective creative candidatesMaintain strong client relationshipsWork with Account to grow business with existing clientsLead the copywriters in development of concepts and execution of all projectsAssure that all supervised copywriters are trained and mentored to maintain the expectations of the agency and the client, and to meet their own career goalsConsistently demonstrate to clients an understanding of their brands and marketing challenges and is responsive to their strategic and creative needsPresent copy with enthusiasm, internally and externally, to gain buy-in and negotiate changesRepresent the agency at client meetings; co-presents creative work with Art partnerGroup Copy Supervisor Qualifications:7-10+ years' pharmaceutical advertising agency experienceBA degreeA proven track record of creative ability and judgmentSuccessful client contact experienceAbility to work collaboratively with Art and AccountExcellent presentation skillsPrevious experience managing writersStrong marketing and strategic abilitiesDeep understanding of science and healthcareStrong understanding of MLR review processes and requirementsExceptional copywriting skills in all media
