Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments through preliminary interviews, documenting clients’ histories, and formulating treatment strategies tailored to their unique needs.

• Evaluate clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health, utilizing evidence-based methods to identify issues and develop appropriate therapeutic interventions.

• Create individualized treatment plans for clients, grounded in best practices, to address their specific struggles and facilitate effective recovery.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing various therapeutic techniques to foster a supportive atmosphere and encourage open communication.

• Monitor client progress throughout the treatment plan, making necessary adjustments to interventions based on ongoing assessments and feedback.

• Collaborate actively with healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and nurses, to create cohesive intervention plans that enhance client outcomes.

• Provide continuous follow-ups with hospitals or care teams for clients who are admitted, ensuring a seamless transition back into outpatient care.

• Equip family members and primary caregivers with strategies and resources to support their loved ones effectively, enhancing the recovery process.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Mental Harbor serves a diverse clientele, including children, adolescents, and adults grappling with various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and addiction. Counselors will be trained to deliver evidence-based strategies tailored to individual needs, emphasizing empathy and client empowerment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
\n
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Colorado.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong working knowledge of electronic health record systems, preferably AVATAR, to maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and care plans.
\n
• Proven experience as a mental health counselor, demonstrating an ability to handle a diverse caseload effectively.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, along with exceptional interpersonal abilities essential for building trust with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in addressing complex emotional and behavioral health challenges, including co-occurring substance use disorders.

• Familiarity with current practices and guidelines set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Knowledge of how medications prescribed by medical professionals can impact clients' mental health, contributing to an integrated care approach.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.
