Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth assessments to identify the severity and nuances of mood disorder symptoms, establishing a baseline for treatment.

• Implement a range of evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to mood disorders.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, available treatment pathways, and practical self-care techniques.

• Monitor patient progress diligently, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure alignment with evolving needs and personal goals.

• Engage with multidisciplinary teams, coordinating efforts with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.

• Stay informed on the latest developments in mood disorder treatment to continuously enhance therapeutic effectiveness.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of all client interactions and treatment plans in adherence to legal and ethical standards.

• Act as a strong advocate for clients, promoting mental health awareness and supporting de-stigmatization efforts in the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role will focus primarily on clients facing mood disorders including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder, especially those in transitioning stages of life, such as end-of-life care in hospice settings. You will play a crucial role in delivering supportive mental health services to individuals who may be grappling with complex emotional landscapes, often necessitating sensitivity and a deep understanding of grief and loss.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• A valid license as a Mental Health Counselor in the state of Washington.

• At least three years of relevant experience working with clients in emotional distress or specializing in mood disorders.

• Demonstrated proficiency in applying evidence-based therapeutic modalities, particularly for mood disorders.

Compensation and Benefits\n
