Sr. Legal Billing & Collections Specialist | Fort Lauderdale, FL | Onsite

Mayersohn Law Group, P.A. is seeking an experienced Legal Billing & Collections Specialist with strong law firm billing experience, hands-on Clio experience, and end-to-end billing cycle management, including collections. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, highly organized professional who works independently, communicates professionally, and takes ownership of the billing process from start to finish.

You will oversee billing from time entry review through collections, maintain accurate financial records, and support the firm’s financial operations with accuracy and precision. The ideal candidate proactively identifies billing issues before invoices are sent, manages client billing disputes with diplomacy, and stays organized while handling multiple priorities.

• Review time entries for accuracy, completeness, grammar, and spelling.
• Edit attorney and staff entries for clear, client-friendly billing descriptions.
• Generate and revise pre-bills in Clio.
• Prepare and finalize invoices on schedule.
• Process payments by credit card, wire, and check.
• Monitor trust and retainer balances.
• Handle disputes, refunds, adjustments, and collections professionally.
• Support reporting, reconciliation, and billing issue resolution.

• Legal billing experience required.
• Legal collections experience with FDCPA knowledge required.
• Hands-on Clio billing experience required.
• Understanding of basic accounting and trust accounting.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment.
• Professional, discreet, and solution-oriented approach.
