Temporary Paint Assistant
If you have experience with painting, surface preparation, or enjoy hands-on work in a manufacturing environment, this Temporary Paint Assistant opportunity could be a great fit!
This is a temporary role supporting the paint department of a custom manufacturing facility. You'll assist experienced painters with preparing truck bodies and equipment for painting, ensuring surfaces are properly cleaned, masked, sanded, and staged for final paint application. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in industrial painting and manufacturing while working with a team that values safety and quality.
Paint Assistant Job Duties:
- Inspect equipment, structures, or material.
- Apply cleaning solvents, adhesives, caulking, sealants, or coatings.
- Mask vehicle body in preparation for painting.
- Operate mechanized devices, or equipment.
- Clean equipment or machinery.
- Read work orders and instructions.
- Organize, plan, and prioritize work.
- Distinguish colors.
- Follow all safe work practices.
- Other duties as assigned by leadership.
Paint Assistant Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to work with power tools, pneumatic wrenches, grinders.
- Working knowledge of welding process is helpful.
- Heavy-duty truck aptitude.
- Strong organization, communication, and phone skills.
- Demonstrate exceptional sales, customer service, and time management skills.
- Ability to be extremely well organized, resourceful, and self-motivated.
- Ability to problem solve and make appropriate business decisions with little guidance.
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Mandatory overtime may be required on Fridays and Saturdays)
Pay: $20–$24 per hour
