Execute administrative functions of the Florida Center for Brain Tumor Research (FCBTR) including,
but not limited to:

• Day to day operations of the statewide tumor bank, including annual reports, required Biotechnology
  Summit; FCBTR pilot grants program; Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) appointments and annual SAB
  meeting.
• Coordinates the acquisition of brain tumor tissue samples and serum from all brain tumor patients admitted to Department of Neurosurgery at UF Health and for samples sent to the biorepository from institutions throughout the state of Florida. This includes overseeing the processing of the tissue and arranging for the storage of samples in the Brain Tumor Bank.
• Oversight of obtaining all pertinent preliminary clinical information on all brain tumor patients admitted to
  UF/Shands for entry into the clinical computerized database and ensuring that entries are maintained and
  updated.
• Assists with the acquisition of follow-up clinical information for entry into the database with the same
  requirements for maintenance and update; research state and national certifications related to banking of
  tissue to determine appropriate protocols for the identification, shipment and storage of tissue from
  participating institutions in the State. Coordinator will work with others on the development of a statewide
  brain tumor registry primarily through the development and implementation of an electronic database which is HIPAA and IRB compliant.

Oversee development, planning and execution of programs critical to the clinical, research, and
education missions of the Wells Brain Tumor Center including, but not limited to: Directing administrative tasks for complex conference logistics; on site event management, contract and budget negotiation, coordination with key stakeholders and organizing committees in order to plan scope and format of Wells Brain Tumor Center events. Key events include, but may not be limited to:

• Annual Brain Tumor Education Day
• Annual Florida Biotechnology Summit
• ReMission Summit
• Wells Brain Tumor Center annual retreat
• Semi-annual Wells BTC updates
• Fundraising and awareness events
• Coordination with Department of Neurosurgery for community service events

Wells Brain Tumor Center Liaison with State government officials

• Acts as liaison with members of the Center's statewide Scientific Advisory Council and advises the Council
  on progress towards the stated aims of the Center. Responsible for overall management of the annual brain tumor biomedical technology meeting, as well as meetings of the scientific advisory council whose members are appointed by the Governor, the President of the Florida Senate, Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives, and State Surgeon General. Is primary liaison to members of the press, participating institutions, legislators etc. in all matters related to the Center.

Compliance

• Oversees all compliance issues related to release of tissue for various research studies, including Data
  Use Agreements, Material Transfer Agreements, and Certificate of Confidentiality.
• Coordinates ensures that IRB submissions are submitted accurately and timely, that consents comply with both sponsor and IRB regulatory requirements, that adverse outcomes are properly recorded, that on-site audits are conducted, and that the internal database for tracking studies and trials is maintained.
• The Coordinator is a resource for all faculty and residents in guiding them through the IRB and WIRB approval process.

Serve as back-up support to clinical coordinators for the coordination of relevant care and protocol
required testing for Neuro Oncology subjects enrolled on clinical trials in the Brain Tumor Center.

Required Qualifications:Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of experience.

Preferred:

• Previous research experience, specifically related to neuro-oncology
• Previous supervisory experience
