Exciting contract opportunities are now open for licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistants to provide essential maternity leave coverage across multiple campuses in the Houston metro area. These positions offer the chance to work within dynamic educational environments, collaborating alongside experienced professionals and supporting students’ communication needs.
Positions are available beginning in early 2027 at several Houston-area campuses, with start dates including 1/4/27, 1/18/27, 2/1/27, and 3/15/27. To ensure a successful placement, applicants must carefully consider commute times—most locations are not feasible for commutes over 30 miles, and a strong familiarity with area traffic and routes is critical.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active and current Texas SLPA license (must be in hand at time of application)
- Previous school-based experience as an SLPA is required
- On-site presence only; remote work is not available
- Reliable transportation and confirmed ability to commute to assigned campuses
- Strong communication skills and adaptability within fast-paced school settings
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language support to students under supervision of licensed SLPs
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records per district guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to foster a supportive learning environment
- Adhere to all regulatory and district policies for therapy practice
