Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting young learners as a Special Education professional focused on preschool autism services. This position is based near Columbia, SC and plays a vital role in shaping a positive, inclusive environment for students ages 3 to 4. You’ll be working full-time, 37.5 hours per week over five days, with one dedicated school site, and access to virtual interviews for your convenience. The assignment is anticipated to extend through May 2027, with flexibility in end date as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education, meeting state requirements for the area of vacancy
• Experience working with preschool-aged children, ideally in autism or early childhood special education settings
• Strong case management skills, with the ability to adapt to a caseload that may fluctuate between 4–10 students as new qualifications arise
• Ability to cultivate a nurturing, positive classroom tailored to the needs of young learners on the autism spectrum
• Excellent organizational and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as Special Education Case Manager, guiding and supporting each student’s learning journey
• Implement individualized education plans (IEPs), collaborating with fellow educators, families, and support professionals
• Monitor progress and adjust instruction as needed, ensuring meaningful and measurable outcomes
• Participate in meetings, maintain timely documentation, and facilitate communication among all stakeholders
