Maintenance TechnicianThe Maintenance Technician supports a high-volume corrugated packaging manufacturing facility by performing multi-craft maintenance on production equipment. This role focuses on safely diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime and ensure reliable plant operations.ResponsibilitiesPerform a wide range of maintenance tasks, including diagnosing, repairing, rebuilding, and replacing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on plant equipment.Troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery with a strong focus on electrical and mechanical systems.Work with electrical components such as contactors, relays, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and 3-phase wiring to maintain and repair equipment.Conduct conveyor maintenance, including inspections, adjustments, and repairs to keep material handling systems operating efficiently.Perform preventive maintenance activities according to established schedules to reduce unplanned downtime and extend equipment life.Read and interpret schematics and technical documentation to effectively diagnose and resolve equipment issues.Assist with HVAC-related troubleshooting and repairs as needed to support facility operations.Support PLC troubleshooting by identifying control-related issues and collaborating on corrective actions.Respond to equipment breakdown calls promptly in a production environment, prioritizing safety and operational continuity.Work as part of a maintenance team, sharing information and collaborating to complete tasks safely and efficiently.Participate in ongoing multicraft training to further develop mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic skill sets.Follow all plant safety procedures and guidelines, including lockout/tagout and safe work practices around conveyors and forklifts.Essential SkillsAt least 2 years of experience successfully troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery.Proficiency in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair in a production or industrial environment.Hands-on experience working with contactors, relays, VFDs, and 3-phase wiring.Ability to diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems on plant equipment.Experience performing conveyor maintenance, including mechanical adjustments and component replacement.Ability to perform preventive maintenance tasks systematically and accurately.Skill in reading and interpreting schematics and technical diagrams.Basic HVAC troubleshooting capabilities in an industrial setting.Exposure to PLC troubleshooting and an understanding of control system issues.Authorization to work in the United States.Ability to work safely in a fast-paced production environment with continuous walking and standing.Additional Skills & QualificationsTechnical degree or formal training in mechanical or electrical trades is a plus.Experience in the corrugated packaging industry or printing industry is a plus but not required.Comfort working in a multicraft maintenance role and willingness to expand skills through training.Strong teamwork and communication skills for coordinating with production and maintenance colleagues.Ability to adapt to changing priorities and respond quickly to breakdowns and maintenance needs.Why Work Here?Join a large, established organization that focuses on ideas and solutions and is committed to serving customer needs with products and services that exceed expectations for performance and environmental responsibility. The facility operates within a union environment, offering structure and stability while you contribute to operational excellence and continuous improvement.Work EnvironmentThis role is based in a corrugated packaging box plant operating on 1st shift, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with overtime every other Saturday for up to 8 hours. The plant is not climate controlled and can become very warm or hot during summer months, while winter conditions are comfortable. Conveyor roller lines run throughout the facility, and forklift operators regularly transport large pallets, creating an active production environment. The position involves consistent walking and standing throughout the day and working around industrial machinery, conveyors, and material handling equipment, following all safety procedures and guidelines.Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Lancaster, PA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $79040.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Excellent Benefits Package (Health, Dental, Optometry) - available 30 days after employment 401K Plan - The plan offers both pre-tax and Roth contribution options along with employer provided matching contributions.
