Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

What You'll Do as a Taxi Dispatch Coordinator:Transportation Coordination

• Manage and assign transportation requests to drivers based on availability, location, and service needs.
• Monitor vehicle activity and trip progress throughout the day.
• Adjust assignments and schedules to address service demands and operational changes.
• Ensure timely and efficient ride coverage while maintaining service standards.
• Coordinate responses to delays, cancellations, and other service challenges.
• Support daily transportation operations to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Driver Communication & Support

• Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers during active service hours.
• Provide trip updates, service information, and operational guidance.
• Assist drivers with route questions, service issues, and scheduling concerns.
• Maintain regular communication to ensure smooth operations and service continuity.
• Support driver productivity and success through timely coordination and assistance.

Customer Service & Problem Resolution

• Assist passengers with transportation inquiries, trip updates, and service requests.
• Address customer concerns professionally and efficiently.
• Work with operations teams to resolve issues and improve service outcomes.
• Communicate service updates, arrival information, and ride status clearly and effectively.
• Help create a positive customer experience through prompt and courteous support.

Operations Administration

• Maintain accurate dispatch records, trip information, and operational documentation.
• Enter and update data within dispatch and transportation management systems.
• Monitor daily service performance and operational activity.
• Assist with reporting, scheduling, and operational tracking.
• Ensure dispatch procedures and company standards are consistently followed.
• Identify opportunities to improve service efficiency and operational effectiveness.

Qualifications of a Taxi Dispatch Coordinator:Preferred Experience

• Experience in dispatching, transportation, logistics, scheduling, customer service, call center operations, or a related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent multitasking and organizational abilities.
• Ability to make decisions quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Experience using dispatch software, GPS tracking systems, scheduling platforms, or transportation management tools is a plus.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.
