Warehouse Dispatcher / Logistics Coordinator

Location: Kansas City, Kansas
Pay: $20.00/HR (additional pay for experienced candidates)
Schedule: Monday–Friday - 1st Shift(preferred 6:00AM-2:30PM), 2nd shift available 2:00PM-11:00PM)
Type: Temp-to-Perm

Position Overview:

We’re hiring a Warehouse Dispatcher / Logistics Coordinator to manage the flow of inbound and outbound shipments on second shift. This role sits in the office but is highly interactive, working directly with drivers and the warehouse team to keep operations running smoothly.

This is a fast-paced, multitasking role where organization, communication, and urgency are key.

Key Responsibilities:

• Check in inbound and outbound drivers
• Collect and verify PO numbers / shipment details
• Assign drivers to loading/unloading bays
• Schedule and coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments
• Work closely with warehouse team to prioritize workflow
• Manage dock traffic and overall flow of operations
• Handle data entry, order tracking, and documentation
• Close out orders in internal systems
• Communicate updates across teams to ensure timely movement of freight

Qualifications:

• Previous dispatch, logistics, or warehouse coordination experience preferred
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently (second shift has less support)
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Strong communication skills
• Basic computer/data entry skills
• Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Experience in logistics, dispatch, or warehouse operations
• OR strong multitaskers (hospitality backgrounds like servers/bartenders do well)
• High energy, organized, and able to handle multiple moving pieces at once

Work Environment Notes:

• Second shift with variable end time based on workload
• Some nights may run later depending on volume and paperwork
• Not a call center role—focused on outbound coordination and operations flow
