Account Specialist

$24.04 per hour

Job Summary The Account Specialist generates sales revenue and meets sales targets through the creation and renewal of sales contracts, primarily via outbound and inbound telephone sales. Job Responsibilities Drive revenue goal attainment, servicing and growing relationships within the existing client base and generating new business through cold calls in assigned territories. Identify client needs and develop persuasive proposals to meet those needs. Ensure customer satisfaction by facilitating all aspects of the customer's account in cooperation with creative, operations, marketing, collections, and finance staff. Develop action plans and schedules to meet specific sales targets. Prepare compelling and competitive proposals and presentations. Negotiate fees or services with clients, with management approval. Communicate and coordinate with other internal departments to sufficiently service clients. Perform other duties as assigned or requested. Job Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, experience, or military experience required. Work Experience Minimum two (2) years of sales experience or other relevant work experience preferred. Demonstrated track record of business-to-business and progressive sales experience strongly preferred. Media sales experience preferred. Skills Strong organizational/time‑management skills and detail orientation. Skilled in working closely with customers to develop and cultivate client relationships to grow accounts. Experience in consultative or needs‑based selling techniques. Collaborative and professional style with the objective of building strong relationships with diverse customer groups and vendors. Self‑starter with a diligent work ethic and flexibility. Ability to multi‑task and remain calm under pressure. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including effective presentations. Ability to complete required math calculations (e.g., multiplication, division, rates, ratios, percentages, interpretation of bar graphs). Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and social media platforms. Fostering Communication : Listen and communicate openly, honestly, and respectfully with different audiences, promoting dialogue that effectively gets the message across. Initiative : Deal with situations and issues proactively and persistently, seizing emerging opportunities. Managing the Sales Process : Follow the organization’s sales methodology to achieve sales targets. Negotiating : Resolve different perspectives or disputes by discovering shared interests and finding mutually acceptable solutions. Networking : Establish, sustain, and foster professional contacts to build, enhance, and connect networks for work purposes. Presentation : Prepare and deliver presentations in a variety of formal and informal settings, engaging audiences and managing logistical components. Physical Demands Attendance at weekly/monthly meetings is an essential function of the job. This position primarily involves working both in an office environment and in the field, making sales calls, and servicing existing accounts. Must be able to lift and move items up to 15 pounds. Must be able to see written documents and computer screens, and to adjust focus. Other Requirements Travel outside of the office at least 25% of the time for meetings and industry events. Have a valid driver's license. Have access to a reliable vehicle. Compensation Rate: $24.04 + Commission Hourly roles are overtime eligible.
