HR Generalist

HireArt is helping our client, a fast-growing technology company operating at the intersection of artificial intelligence, technology, and the future of work, find an experienced HR Generalist to support day-to-day people operations and help build efficient, employee-focused HR processes as the organization continues to scale. In this role, you\'ll support employees throughout the employee lifecycle, with a particular focus on benefits administration, 401(k) programs, immigration, onboarding and offboarding, compliance, and general HR operations. You\'ll serve as a key resource for employees while partnering with internal stakeholders and external HR providers to deliver a consistent and effective employee experience. The ideal candidate is an experienced HR professional with hands-on expertise in benefits administration, 401(k) programs, and employment-based immigration. You are highly organized, discreet, and comfortable managing multiple time-sensitive priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment. As an HR Generalist, you\'ll: Serve as a primary point of contact for employees regarding HR policies, benefits, payroll-related questions, and general people operations support. Administer employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, leave programs, and other employee offerings, and support the ongoing administration of the company\'s 401(k) retirement plan. Coordinate employment-based immigration and work authorization processes, including documentation, deadlines, renewals, employee communications, and partnership with outside immigration counsel. Manage onboarding and offboarding and support employee lifecycle changes, including promotions, compensation changes, leaves of absence, and terminations. Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation while supporting compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment requirements. Partner with benefits brokers, retirement plan administrators, immigration counsel, and other HR vendors, and assist with employee relations matters as needed. Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes and support additional People and HR initiatives as the organization grows. Requirements 5+ years of experience as an HR Generalist, in People Operations, or in a similar HR role, ideally within a fast-paced technology or high-growth environment Hands-on experience administering employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, and related benefit offerings Experience supporting or administering a 401(k) retirement plan, including employee support and coordination with third-party plan administrators Experience supporting employment-based immigration and work authorization processes, including coordination with employees and immigration counsel Strong understanding of HR operations and the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, employee changes, and HR documentation Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR compliance requirements Experience with HRIS and benefits administration platforms Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and time-sensitive employee matters Excellent written and verbal communication skills High level of discretion and sound judgment when handling confidential employee information Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment where processes continue to develop as the organization scales Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting employees in California and familiarity with California employment requirements Experience within an AI, technology, startup, or high-growth organization Experience developing or improving HR processes and programs during periods of rapid organizational growth Experience partnering directly with benefits brokers, 401(k) providers, and immigration counsel Employer (HireArt) subsidized healthcare benefits (eligibility begins on the first of the month following 60 days of service) Flexible Spending Account for healthcare-related costs HireArt covers all costs for short- and long-term disability and life insurance 401k package Commitment: This is a full-time, contract-to-hire position staffed via HireArt.
