Finance Business Intelligence Analyst I

Build, maintain, and optimize reporting pipelines and data infrastructure to facilitate data gathering, storage, and retrieval. Evaluate business requirements to automate manual operational tasks for the Controllership team.Develop reports, queries, and dashboards by creating complex SQL code to access and consolidate information from various data sources.Provide ongoing support for data users, including the maintenance of reports, queries, dashboards, and troubleshooting end-user access issues.Partner closely with the Controllership team to identify data sources, validate data anomalies, and translate metrics into formats that enable supported teams to quickly and easily derive relevant information for month-end activities.Train and support the Controllership team to query system financial data, conduct cost-benefit analyses for proposed automations, and participate in the creation of Business Requirement Documents (BRDs).Minimum qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline or equivalent practical experience.2 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, quantitative analysis, or a related field.Experience programming with SQL and an additional programming language (e.g., R, Python, or JavaScript).Preferred qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.1 year of experience in data analysis, software development, technical business analysis, or IT project management.Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Data Studio) to model, transform, and visualize data.Proficient in SQL for data extraction and reporting.Highly developed conceptual, and problem-solving skill sets with an ability to quickly troubleshoot issues and think outside of the box.Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions.
