This is an exceptional opportunity to handle a variety of litigation support responsibilities including managing all phases of the discovery process in a forward-thinking firm, an expanding California office. Familiarity with case management software or legal billing systems is a must.The salary range for this position is $65K - $75K, commensurate with experience for 3 - 5 years. A Paralegal Certificate from an ABA approved program is preferred but not required.The following represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities a successful candidate should possess or demonstrate to succeed under the supervision of associate(s) and/or partner(s):knowledge of electronic filing procedures in California state and federal courts in California;strong legal research and writing skills;working knowledge of docketing and calendaring deadlines;organize, prioritize, and implement urgent tasks with strong attention to detail;experience in drafting and responding to discovery;provide excellent written and verbal communication;remain self-directed, self-motivated, and effectively work under tight time constraints;ability to consistently create and deliver quality work products;experience with case management systems (e.g., iManage, Time Matters, Clio, etc.)proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and PDF maker (Nuance or Adobe Pro); demonstrated efficiency navigating the internet; and,a Paralegal Certificate is not required, but preferred.The firm provides an experienced support staff, current technology, ongoing training, and full-time IT and marketing departments.Litchfield Cavo LLP supports and encourages workforce diversity.
