Chief Financial Officer

CFO / SVP of Finance Location: Buffalo, NY area (on-site) * Compensation: $200K+ based on experience, plus bonus About Our Client TalentRise is partnering with a well-established, family-owned manufacturer with a global footprint. It is seeking a hands-on finance leader to join its senior leadership team. The Opportunity The CFO / SVP of Finance will lead the finance and accounting function and serve as a trusted advisor to ownership and executive leadership. This role is for a practical, roll-up-your-sleeves leader who will strengthen reporting, processes and controls as the business grows. Key Responsibilities Lead accounting, financial reporting, treasury, tax and audit Own the budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning process Accelerate the monthly and quarterly close and deliver timely, accurate results to leadership Strengthen internal controls, policies and procedures Improve ERP and reporting tools so they scale with the business Manage cash flow, working capital, banking relationships and capital investment decisions Partner with operations, sales and engineering leaders on cost, pricing and investment decisions Lead, develop and retain the finance and accounting team What You Will Need Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field; CPA and/or MBA preferred 15+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including 5+ years leading a finance function Manufacturing or industrial experience; privately held or family-owned experience preferred Proven track record of improving accounting processes to deliver faster, more accurate results Strong command of GAAP, cost accounting, budgeting and forecasting Experience with multi-entity or international consolidation a plus Leadership Style Approachable, collaborative and practical Hands-on and comfortable in the details Clear communicator who turns financial data into business decisions Team-first leader with integrity Aleron companies (Acara Solutions, Aleron Shared Resources, Broadleaf Results, Lume Strategies, TalentRise, Viaduct) are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
