Staff Flight Test Instrumentation Engineer

We are looking for a Staff Flight Test Instrumentation (FTI) Engineering Professional to join our team. The FTI Systems Engineering Professional will focus on design implementation, integration, configuration management, calibration, troubleshooting, and operation of flight test instrumentation systems for the Gen6 eVTOL flight test program. Responsibilities Design and review FTI components and installation drawings. Support flight test requirements and maintain configuration of FTI equipment onboard the aircraft. Troubleshoot data acquisition and instrumentation issues during testing. Coordinate installation of FTI equipment and write/exercise ATS, ATP, and SDD procedures as required. Collaborate with IPTs and flight operations teams to ensure proper requirements and data capture. Plan and execute calibration and maintenance activities for all FTI equipment. Qualifications Minimum 8years of aerospace industry experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 6years with a Master’s, or 3years with a PhD, or equivalent experience. Extensive experience in flight test instrumentation, system design, and configuration management. Deep knowledge of data acquisition systems and sensors such as accelerometers, pressure transducers, RVDT, string pots, etc. Understanding of IRIG protocols (CH10, CH7, CH4) and serial communication standards. Proficiency with tools like Wireshark, Safran Ez software, MATLAB, Git/GitLab (including SourceTree). Ability to travel as necessary to support testing activities. Job Type Full‑time Compensation Salary range: $161,000–$201,000 per year. The starting base salary varies based on location, experience, and business necessity. Location Onsite at our Hollister or MountainView offices five days per week, with travel as required for testing support.
