Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Tele Duration: 13 or 26 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS required; NIH, CPI preferred Must-Have: 2 years of experience in a large, urban hospital. EPIC charting experience required. Candidates must be prepared to float frequently to meet the staffing needs. 100% nicotine-free facility. RNs must wear designated scrubs with the facility logo. Travelers must work 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in a 4-week period. Travelers must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Cardiac Telemetry. This is a specialty medical/surgical unit that is fast-paced. The unit provides care for cardiovascular patients. Staff will care for specialty patients, such as stable heart and lung transplants. Experience with ventricular assist devices (LVADs) is beneficial. Ratios are 1:5 during the day and 1:6 at night, with possible night ratios of 1:7 in rare circumstances. Float within scope to meet facility needs, which may include floating to different units. Team members include CNAs, care techs, a transport team, and paramedics. The environment is committed to professional growth and expertise development. RTO submission is permitted up to 2 weeks in advance. RTO during the first week of employment is not allowed. Candidates must complete mandatory lab work within a specific timeframe after accepting an offer. All contracts must end on a Sunday for compliance purposes.
