Product Manager

OverviewLutron has multiple immediate openings in our product management teams. This high visibility position provides a birds-eye view across the organization and is a great opportunity for emerging product leaders looking to get experience driving business outcomes. As a Leader in Lutron’s product management teams you are at the center of developing and delivering on the product roadmaps. You will work closely with engineering, marketing, sales, and the business leadership to ensure customer needs are well understood and clearly prioritized within the product plan. You will become an internal expert on our customers, channel partners and external stakeholders. This role gives you an opportunity to directly impact highly visible product and business initiatives while developing a breadth of product and business leadership skills and experience.ResponsibilitiesManages customer insight collection and integrates into product planManage major product introductions from concept to launchDevelops pricing and margin targets for new productsDevelops product positioning and launch strategyProvide regular updates to executive team and cross-functional leadershipDevelops business case and growth targets for new product investmentsMonitoring product portfolio health and proactively planning end of life as neededQualificationsKey CapabilitiesDemonstrated success solving abstract problems across multiple domainsA history of successfully driving cross-functional projects in a matrixed organizationIndependently plan customer interviews and synthesize insightsExperience integrating multiple data sets to make data-informed decisionsAble to influence and align priorities and tradeoffs across a matrixed organizationProactively identify opportunities for improvement and advocates for changeQualificationsBachelor’s degree required, preferably in engineering or other technical fieldMBA a plusDirect product development experience a plusMinimum, cumulative GPA of 3.00 for each degree earned OR 10+ years of professional experience post academics8+ years of professional experience in cross-functional roles, preferably with team leadership experienceDirect product management a plus, but not requiredKnowledge of, or experience in construction, IoT or lighting industry a plus but not requiredWilling to travel up to 25% of the time
