SUMMARY The Valet Cashier is responsible for securing guest vehicle keys and accurately collecting and reconciling revenue while providing exceptional hospitality services in an attentive and friendly manner. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, co‑workers, and clients. Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet. Use guest last names during interactions. Communicate with professionalism. Practice proper phone etiquette. Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and other inquiries. Provide information about outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, and local attractions. Handle revenue and reports. Collect and reconcile revenue, furnish receipts, accurately categorize tickets for audit, and complete detailed shift reports. Operate equipment. Operate register, gate, and credit card machine. Obtain daily event and rate information. Identify and collect revenue for overnight vehicles not yet charged. Maintain claim checks and guest folio archives. Produce key inventory and manage pick‑up order. Maintain cleanliness. Keep cashier booth, parking areas, and trash receptacles clean and neat. Complete all tasks in a timely manner as instructed by the Account Manager. Key management. Collect claim checks/tickets before issuing keys. Inspect keys for vehicle location and damage prior to securing. The total amount of time for all functions of the job equals 100%. QUALIFICATIONS Education: High school diploma or GED. Licensure/Certification: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen. Experience: One to three months of related customer service experience or equivalent education and experience. Cashier/cash handling experience preferred. Knowledge: Understand 24‑hour and military time systems and rates applicable to time passed. Skills: Read and write standard English. Understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Write simple correspondence. Present information in one‑on‑one or small group settings. Perform basic arithmetic with money, weight, volume, and distance. WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS Work is performed outdoors for extended periods, including exposure to extreme heat and cold. May involve running, walking, lifting up to 50lbs occasionally, and standing or sitting for long periods. Travel up to 5% may be required.
