We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our growing team.Location - This role will be onsite based out of our Burr Ridge production facility and with occasional visits to our Elmhurst facility.Schedule:We offer first shift (Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM–1:30 PM) and second shift (Monday–Friday, 1:00 PM–9:30 PM). Occasional flexibility outside of standard hours may be required to support business needs.About the role:The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for providing maintenance and performance support for large-scale manufacturing equipment by accurately assessing equipment condition and performing required repairs, as well as supporting the general upkeep of the manufacturing facility and equipment at both the Burr Ridge and Elmhurst locations.Responsibilities:Install and maintain cooking, packaging, and bagging equipment (conveyors, kettles, poppers, VFFS, product scales, coding systems & inspection equipment)Perform preventative maintenance on equipment to reduce failureTroubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing failuresAbility to tig weld stainless steel and solder copper pipeFacility repairs up to and including painting, replacing light bulbs, pallet rack repairs, etc.Safely repair electrical systems, including up to high voltage, thermocouples, heating elements, temperature controllers, frequency drives, motor testing and photo eyes. Ability to run conduit to and from a motor control panelIdentify improvement projects to reduce overall downtime and increase throughputUnderstand drawings and equipment manualsAssess work orders and plan jobsUse lean manufacturing principles to improve communication and problem-solvingUtilize a CMMS system to accurately document work performedProficient use of hand tools.Be an effective communicator with production workers, managers, and fellow techniciansBasic computer skillsKnowledge of GMP's and able follow all food safety guidelinesExperience & Skills we value:Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical machine repair.Knowledge of GMP's and follow all food safety guidelinesAbility to understand drawings, equipment manualsAbility to use a multimeterBasic understanding of electrical components and troubleshooting process3+ years of experience in a maintenance roleExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience in food manufacturingBasic computer skillsNice to have and/or you'll learn:Ability to tig weld stainless steel and solder copper pipeOSHA 10 or OSHA 30Welding certificationNFPA 70e certificationPLC experience (Allen Bradley or equivalent)HS Diploma or GEDVocational school, trade school, professional degree, Certificate or Apprenticeship in maintenance related fieldEqual Pay Disclosure(s):We're on a mission to create more joy in people's lives, and that includes our internal employees.
