Promotes and follows LJBTC Signature Standard Service and requirements ensuring a lasting impression of exemplary service resulting in supremely satisfied members and guests. Responsibilities Ensures that all painted and stained surfaces are kept to the highest possible standards. Cleans and prepares surface for painting. Applies an even coat of finish material, such as paint, stain or lacquer, to sanded area. Sprays lacquer or thinner material over finish coats to blend in spots and eliminate halo around repair. Paints chipped spots with brush. Compares color of paint supply with color chart and piece, and remixes to match standard colors. Maintains spray painting equipment. Repairs surface to receive paint or stain. Must drive a company vehicle; a valid California Driver's License is required. Other duties may be assigned. Outcome The overall maintenance of the guest room and the facilities influence guest and co‑employee impression of the total organization. Clean, well‑maintained guest rooms, facilities and equipment will contribute to guest comfort and satisfaction. Qualifications Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination. Language Skills: Ability to read, interpret and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence; effectively present information to customers, guests, and other employees; must communicate effectively in English. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two‑digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s; perform operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions; deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must have a valid California Driver's License. Physical Demands: Constant standing, walking, use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear. Occasionally required to sit and taste or smell. Constantly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Working Conditions: Works in outside weather conditions; exposed to fumes or airborne particles; high, precarious places; near moving mechanical parts; exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, and extreme heat. Noise level usually moderate to loud. Responsible for performing tasks safely and reporting hazards to management. Scheduling: Must be available to work weekends and holidays. Company operates seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Shifts will generally be rotated unless hired for a specific shift, as much as possible to be fair to everyone. Business needs determine number of hours worked.
