About this role:Wells Fargo Commercial Banking Middle Market Group is seeking a Vice President to support Relationship Managers in the Sports Banking Group(“SBG”). SBG aligns dedicated coverage and credit teams to cover the professional sports industry for Wells Fargo. Sports Banking RMs are the single point of contact for the team’s clients, coordinating across all Wells Fargo business groups. Learn more about the career areas and business divisions at . In this role, you will:Lead structuring, modification, and renewal of complex loans and certain other industry specific solutions with Sports Banking clients in Commercial Banking, by analyzing financials, presenting to clients, coordinating with internal stakeholders, and partnering with senior peers to execute more complex transactionsReview, understand and offer the full suite of solutions offered by Wells Fargo to SBG clients to meet complex needs that require solid understanding and an in-depth evaluation, by engaging product organizations to develop client specific solutions, leveraging a solid understanding of clients’ businesses, strategic objectives, operational priorities, and financial positionsMake decisions in complex and multi-faceted situations, which require a solid understanding of relevant policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that influence and lead team to meet deliverables and drive new initiativesStrategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level to senior level managers to resolve client issues while achieving Wells Fargo’s business objectives, by helping clients navigate Wells Fargo’s processes, escalating inquiries when needed, and identifying and recommending opportunities for process improvements and risk control enhancements and achieve goals; serve as a peer mentorReview, understand and offer the full suite of solutions offered by Wells Fargo to meet complex needs that may require an in-depth evaluation, by engaging product organizations to develop client specific solutions, leveraging a solid understanding of clients’ businesses, strategic objectives, operational priorities, and financial positionsDrive relationship planning activities to deliver the full suite of solutions and maintain sales and pipeline disciplines, by keeping information current in relevant systems such as Customer Relationship Management systemsCultivate relationships to source new clients, in coordination with senior coverage bankers on the teamRequired Qualifications:5+ years of Mid-Corporate Relationship Management or Portfolio Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, educationDesired Qualifications:Intermediate knowledge and understanding of core commercial banking and investment products: deposits, commercial credit, and treasuryPrior experience financing professional sports businesses is a plus Successfully completed FINRA Series 63 and Series 79 exam to qualify for immediate registration (or FINRA recognized equivalents)Experience with underwriting complex credit and debt structureFoundational ability to interpret financial statements, summarize findings and structure credit transactionsExperience working with financial modelingAbility to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environmentDemonstrated high level of initiative and accountabilityAbility to build and maintain productive working relationships with internal partnersIntermediate Microsoft Office skills Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related business degreeExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Job Expectations:This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship This position offers a hybrid work scheduleAbility to travel up to 25% of the time Specific compliance policies may apply regarding outside activities or personal investing; affected employees will be expected to provide information to the Wells Fargo Personal Account Dealing Team and abide by applicable policy requirements if hired. In addition, state registration, specific product licenses or SAFE licensing may apply. Additional requirements include meeting enhanced financial fitness and criminal background standards. Wells Fargo will initiate the FINRA review process at the time of offer acceptanceObtaining FINRA Series 63 and Series 79, or equivalent must be completed within 180-days of date of hire if not immediately available to transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted. For specific FINRA qualification exams obtained after 9/30/2018, the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam co-requisite may also be required This position is subject to FINRA background screening requirements. Candidates must successfully complete and pass a background check prior to hire. Successful candidates must also meet and comply with ongoing regulatory obligations, which include periodic screening and mandatory reporting of certain incidentsPay RangeReflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location.
