Line Cook - Newington

We are building a talented culinary team for a brand-new restaurant opening and are looking for experienced Line Cooks who are passionate about food, quality, and working in a fast-paced kitchen.

What You’ll Do

As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and executing high-quality menu items with consistency, accuracy, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities include:

• Prepare food across multiple stations including Hot Line, Pizza Line, Garde Manger, and Dessert

• Execute and plate dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications

• Maintain proper portioning, presentation, and quality standards

• Monitor cooking times, temperatures, and kitchen equipment throughout service

• Prepare, plate, and package menu items accurately and efficiently

• Follow standardized recipes, build sheets, and preparation procedures

• Maintain proper food handling, sanitation, and food safety standards

• Keep workstations clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout service

• Assist with opening and closing kitchen responsibilities

• Collaborate with fellow kitchen team members to ensure timely and efficient service

• Communicate effectively with both kitchen and front-of-house teams regarding ticket times, par levels, and quality concerns

• Assist with general kitchen cleaning and organization as needed

• Support the culinary team wherever needed during high-volume service

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Line Cook or in a similar culinary role

• Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety practices

• Pizza preparation and dough experience is a plus

• Strong time-management and organizational skills

• Ability to follow recipes and execute dishes consistently

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure

• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move throughout the kitchen for extended periods

• Ability to frequently lift up to 40 lbs

• Availability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

• English required

• Basic Spanish is a plus, but not required

Compensation & Benefits

$17–$24 per hour, depending on experience
