Join the Nexus of Cahokia team as a vital member of our culinary crew! As a Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing delicious and nutritious meals for our residents. Cook is a dynamic position that requires attention to detail, a passion for food, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a variety of meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, using standardized recipes and methods

• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to sanitation and safety standards

• Assist with inventory management and ordering of food and supplies

• Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely and efficient meal service

• Develop and implement creative and innovative menu ideas to enhance the dining experience

Requirements:

• 0 years of experience or equivalent education/training (no experience necessary!)

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods

• Must be able to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Food Safety Certification (food handler's card) preferred
