Project Engineer

Project EngineerWe are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of engineering and construction projects. The Project Engineer will be responsible for coordinating technical work, managing project documentation, supporting schedule and cost control, and ensuring quality and safety compliance. This role serves as a key liaison between design teams, contractors, and project management to drive projects through planning, execution, and close-out.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and manage engineering activities across design, procurement, and construction phases to ensure scope, schedule, and budget objectives are met.Prepare, review, and maintain technical documentation including drawings, specifications, change orders, and submittals.Support project scheduling and planning efforts; track progress, identify critical path activities, and recommend corrective actions to maintain project timelines.Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress, verify workmanship, and ensure compliance with design intent, codes, and safety standards.Collaborate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to resolve technical issues, clarify requirements, and implement design changes.Assist with cost control by monitoring project expenditures, supporting invoice review and approval, and identifying opportunities for value engineering.Maintain project records and reporting dashboards; prepare regular progress reports for project managers and stakeholders.Participate in risk assessments, safety reviews, and quality assurance activities to ensure projects are delivered safely and to specification.QualificationsBachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related engineering discipline (or equivalent experience).Minimum 3 years of experience in a Project Engineer role or similar position on engineering or construction projects.Strong technical understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, and construction methods.Experience with project scheduling and planning tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) is preferred.Background or experience in construction or civil engineering projects is a plus.Proficiency with CAD/BIM tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and Microsoft Office suite.Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams.Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.Professional engineer (PE) license or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CCM) are advantageous but not required.BenefitsPTOSicktimeMedicalDentalVisionFor this position you must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
