Plant Controller – Colorado Factories

JOB SUMMARY

The Plant Controller at Terumo Blood & Cell Technologies in Littleton, CO, serves as the Chief Financial Officer for the plant's supply chain, overseeing significant financial operations including a $200M+ production budget, $25M+ in capital expenditures, and $20M in inventory. This role is integral to the Plant Senior Leadership Team, focusing on compliance, financial performance, and continuous improvement to drive profitable growth.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Oversee all plant-related GAAP, SOX, and Terumo policy requirements, ensuring accurate financial records (P&L and BS).
\n
• Communicate financial performance effectively, including month-end closing, weekly pulses, and preparation of quarterly forecasts and budgets.
\n
• Maximize financial performance through analysis, guidance, and accountability.
\n
• Identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement in financial and operational areas.
\n
• Develop and execute action plans to drive profitable growth.
\n
• Achieve committed financial results for KPIs including manufacturing variances, operating income, cash flow, and capital investments.
\n
• Liaise with process business partners to enhance efficiency in fulfilling Plant Controller responsibilities.
\n
• Lead budget and forecast processes for the Littleton & Lakewood Facilities
\n
• Develop finance team and implement an intern program
\n
• Develop financial acumen among finance and non-finance team members.
\n

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

\n
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or country equivalent) required.
\n
• CPA and/or MBA preferred.
\n
• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing finance.
\n
• SAP proficiency (4HANA a plus)
\n
• Experience in standard costing, budget management, and capital analysis and control.
\n
• Strong communication skills at all organizational levels.
\n
• Experience in a global, diverse matrixed organization.
\n
• Ability to manage indirect reporting relationships effectively.
\n
• Experience with Lean concepts and tools preferred.
\n

Skills

\n
• Previous experience in an accounting & financial reporting function is a must. Solid understanding of corporate tax application particularly from an international or global organization standpoint is preferred.
\n
• Experience working in a large international organization with specific experience consolidating international subsidiaries with multiple FX currencies.
\n
• Deep understanding of accounting guidance (IFRS preferred) and the ability to effectively research critical accounting positions and financial statement reporting requirements is required.
\n
• Expert communication skills to wide range of individuals within the organization both verbally and written.
\n
• Excellent report preparation and PowerPoint presentation skills.
\n
• Strong computer knowledge of Microsoft Office.
\n
