Dispatch Clerk

Transdev in San Francisco, CA is hiring a Dispatch Clerk to oversee road service through communication with operators and provide customer support to clients. We are seeking friendly, customer‑service oriented people who are dedicated to safety. Pay $22.25 - $23.00 (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Payscale) Starting pay $22.25 with progression to $23.00 over 1 year. Benefits Vacation: up to 14 days per year Paid Sick Leave: 48 hrs annually for full‑time employees Medical, dental & vision after 90 calendar days of employment for full‑time employees Life insurance, 401(k) retirement benefits, and company holidays Key Responsibilities Oversee road service assigned carriers by tracking trip performance measures, ensuring routes begin on time, monitoring incidents, etc. Provide customer support by responding to questions and concerns regarding customer trips, including no‑shows, cancellations and missed trips. Manage emergency situations for vehicle operators; act as liaison between the carrier and emergency services. Manage daily service by reviewing route performance and proactively responding to situations that impact customer service. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of policies and procedures. Meet or exceed established performance requirements. Document trip authorizations and details, including transportation type, pickup times, appointment times and addresses. Follow rules and regulations of the company; follow instructions of management and supervisors. Adhere to all regulations related to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Maintain confidentiality of passengers’ information. Maintain a clean and well‑organized work area. Other duties as required. Qualifications High School Diploma, GED or equivalent. Computer literate. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to operate a standard telephone system. Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed. Physical Requirements Majority of work is accomplished indoors in an air‑conditioned or well‑ventilated facility. Majority of work is accomplished in an office or cubicle space equipped with a telephone and computer. Employee is generally subjected to long periods of sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen. Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
